Recipients of the City of Berlin Scholarship are eligible to visit Berlin at the invitation of the foundation once during their studies. During their visit, which lasts at least three weeks, participants stay with a host family, attend German courses, and complete an internship. Airfare, lodging, a public transportation pass in Berlin and the cost of language courses are paid for by the foundation. All other costs, in particular food and health insurance, must be paid by the student.
Most participants prefer to visit during the summer break, although visits during the winter break are also possible. However, because of the holidays, it may not always possible to organize an internship during the winter break.
Scholarship recipients who are interested in taking advantage of this opportunity should contact us by E-mail. Please note that we need at least six months’ notice to organize a visit.
