The change in administrations also means a change in ambassadors. Today thus marks the last day of John Emerson’s tenure as US Ambassador to Germany.

We want to warmly thank Ambassador Emerson for his enthusiasm,
his openness, and of course his strong support for the foundation and our programs. Ambassador, you will be a hard act to follow!

We also wish him all the best for his future back in Los Angeles, Berlin’s sister city. Perhaps we will have the opportunity to cooperate again, this time within the framework of the sister city relationship.
