Checkpoint Charlie Foundation / Checkpoint Charlie Stiftung shared ISS Berlin - Kreuzberg Basketball Beats's post.Mittwoch, November 16th, 2016 at 4:21pm
In July of this year, Berlin's Kreuzberg Basketball beats, an initiative that uses basketball to support and encourage minority youth, sent a delegation to a youth basketball camp in Chicago with the support of the Checkpoint Charlie Foundation. There, the 15 participants from Berlin built friendships with American kids their age; learned about leadership, higher education and minorities in the US; helped the Americans kids learn some German; and of course played a lot of basketball. The project was a resounding success and we have word that a reciprocal visit is in planning. The foundation is pleased to have supported this valuable project.
